What is MnZn Soft PC95 Ferrite Material?
PC95 is a material grade used by TDK designed for making ferrite core
PC95 is another type of soft ferrite material used in electronic components, similar to PC40 but with different magnetic properties. Like PC40, it’s composed of powdered iron oxide mixed with other materials, but PC95 is characterized by a higher initial permeability and lower losses.
The “PC” designation still indicates its common usage in power-related applications, but the “95” denotes a higher initial permeability compared to PC40. This higher permeability makes PC95 ferrite material suitable for applications requiring even greater efficiency in magnetic flux conduction, especially at higher frequencies.
PC95 ferrite material is often utilized in electronic devices where minimizing energy losses and maximizing efficiency are critical, such as in high-frequency transformers, inductors, and other power conversion components. Its properties make it particularly well-suited for applications demanding high performance and reliability.
Why PC95 is widely used?
Compare with PC30 and PC38, it has much better performance, especially in power loss.
Compare with PC40, it is much better performance in normal temperature, which makes less power loss and more long lifetime for the core.

Ferrite core davantage:
- High Frequency Performance: Ferrite Transformer Core are often chosen for applications involving high frequencies, such as inductors and transformers used in switch-mode power supplies.
- Low Eddy Current Losses: Ferrite materials typically exhibit lower eddy current losses compared to metallic cores, especially at higher frequencies.
- High Permeability: Ferrite cores often have high permeability, allowing for the design of high-inductance components in relatively small sizes.
- Magnetic Stability: Ferrite materials can provide stable magnetic characteristics over a wide range of temperatures.
- Cost-Effective: PC95 Ferrite cores are generally cost-effective and widely used in various electronic applications.
